Can you get an iPHone if you filed for bankruptcy?

I thought I read awhile ago that if you filed for bankruptcy, you won't be able to get an iPhone, which always sounded odd to me. I recently had to file, and am now putting my finances back in order. I'd like to get an iPhone once I'm eligible for an upgrade. I'm already an ATT customer, so it would just be a matter of adding the data plan and paying for the phone. Anyone know anything about this?
