Wedding ideas? plz help?

me and my fiance are planning to get married on may 21 the weekend to his bday we had planned to drive out with his parents and sister to las vegas to get married but his dad said no because we have pets and he doesnt feel right leaving them alone for three days with people they dont really know plus the dogs destroy everything we just want something simple wedding and family dinner we live in the hollywood area and have no clue where to get married or have dinner plz help also ive been thinking about driving out to las vegas in the morning and driving back in the after noon but im not sure plz help my bf is one of those guys that just say what ever makes you happy my mom is movin to el salvador next month so thats why i just say his family is included maybe we might bring along 2 friends each but i just want something simple plus a 2 day honeymoon but ith would have to be near home plz yahoo help
