Should I stay at the Tropicana, Golden Nugget, Imperial palace in vegas?

Stay at the Imperial Palace, it is in the center of the strip and cheaper. The Golden Nugget is downtown and a two mile bus ride to the south strip and the Tropicana can get a bit pricey for just a room.
