If i sell my house before bankruptcy?

Im under contract to short sale my house and plan on filing a chapter sever after the sell. Would it be better if i filed chapter 7 0r 13.I want to purchase another house when i get back on my feet.I am close to 30k in debt and i just got a job making 70 k a year.
